Monsoons are hitting us in full swing and with the pleasant rains come a really bad hair day! So what could you possibly do to prevent these hair woes and get your old, lush locks back on track? Yes, we try a Hair Mask that revamps our hair to its earlier glory and slaps the monsoon right in its face! So, are you ready for some easy DIY Hair Masks because we surely are!
1. Coconut Charm
This is probably the easiest to pull of and knowingly or unknowingly, all of us have done it. Section your hair out and grab some extra virgin Coconut oil to be applied from the roots to the tips. Take thin sections and make sure you get all the hair nice and oiled up. Once that’s done wrap your hair in a warm and moist towel to pack some heat in and wash as usual.
2. Honey and Milk
This works like a magical spell and transforms dry hair into soft and bouncy tresses. Take a full cup of milk with fat and add two big tablespoons of honey to it. Give it a good mix and apply to the hair. Leave it for an hour and wash off as usual.
3. Eggs & Milk
No, this isn’t a breakfast recipe but a super effective mask for dry hair. Take an egg and separate the whites from the yolk. Add a cup of milk and two tablespoons of olive oil to the beated egg yolks. Add some lemon juice and apply to the hair for 15 mins before giving it a wash.
4. Banana Mask
This mask works its magic in just 5 minutes. Take 2 bananas and mash until smooth. Add a tablespoon of coconut oil, honey and olive oil to it and let it rest in your hair for 5 mins only!
5. Papaya and Yoghurt
This is, again, one of those very effective hair masks! Also, the ingredients of this one are so simple and easily available. Skin one papaya and mix it with half a cup of yoghurt. Mash and mix until no lumps exist. Let is rest in your hair for 45 mins and then just rinse it out with cold water for a lustrous effect.
