The first Thanksgiving was celebrated in 1941 and the idea of Thanksgiving is family gatherings, turkey, football and fun with friends. Family and friends gather together to give thanks and how much each person mean to them. Every year people take time out of their busy schedule to give thanks and appreciate each other’s efforts. Thanksgiving day also known as Turkey day is the perfect time to start habits toward grateful living. “Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but parent of all the others”- said Cicero. “Every virtue divorced from thankfulness is maimed and limps along the spiritual road”- said John Henry Jowett. “Gratitude is the sign of noble souls, sign of maturity and wisdom”- said Aseop Fables.
